New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Case Resolution

November 19 - 20 | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Representatives from the Civil Enforcement Division (Collections) with specialized experience will be available to meet one-on-one with tax practitioners to discuss individual client tax cases and assist with resolution. You must have a Power Attorney filed with the Department authorizing disclosure of confidential client tax information. If the case cannot be resolved at the Symposium and requires further research, it will be assigned to an appropriate New York State Tax Department expert for follow-up.

All appointments are to be scheduled during Accounting & Tax Symposium hours.

IRS CASE RESOLUTION ROOM CANCELLED

The IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) will not be available to attend this year’s Symposium.

Due to the ongoing government shutdown, and even with a potential reopening on the horizon, it remains impossible for them to pull employees for participation this year.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support. We hope to resume our partnership with TAS next year and bring back the valuable services they provide.
