Mark 
A. Badami works at Center for Wealth Preservation one of Long Island’s leading insurance and financial planning firms. This position requires Mark to educate and assist individuals and members of their staff in the areas of pension design, advanced estate planning concepts as well as ideas pertaining to business continuity. In addition, Mark is the main resource in the qualified planning arena with the Accountants/CPA’s who are members of, the National Network of Accountants. The National Network of Accountants is a leading and innovative organization established to educate and train accounting professionals on how to grow their business by implementing financial planning into their practices.

Mark graduated from The State University of New York, New Platz, in 1992, with a degree in finance and minors in both economics and political science. With a desire to serve his country Mark enlisted proudly in the United States Marine Corp. After serving his country well he was honorably discharged. It was at this point that Mark decided to follow his passion and purse a career in financial planning.

Some of Mark’s business recognitions include receiving the CFP (Certified Financial Planning) designation. A seven-time Court of the Table member of the MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table in 2004-2010). The premier association of leading financial professional. To achieve Court of the Table, one must be in the top 5% of sales. Commission and premium. As basic criteria as forward by MDRT.

Mark’s community involvement includes: Boxing for the Long Island Fight for Charity in 2004 and 2010 where he has helped to raise over $100,000. All proceeds went to ten local charities. He was also a member of the board of the American Associations’ Heart Gala and which raised over $350,000 in 2005 and 2007. He continues to be active with the organization and currently sit on the American Heart Advisory Counsel. The counsel, which helps to bring awareness of American Heart Association to wealthy individuals for charitable planning purposes. He has served as a committee member, for the Long Island Elite Charity Masquerade ball in 2005, 2006, 2007and 2008. In addition to the ball being the most talked about event on Long Island; it raised over $1,000,000 for local charities. He is also a board member of ASPPA Benefit Council of New York City; an organization committed to bringing up to date information regarding pensions to the area third party administrators and advocates to Law Makers with regards to Pension Reform.

Currently, Mark sits on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Long Island as its chapter’s Board Chairman. FPA of LI, is an advocate to the financial planning community and its Law Makers. Keeping up to date with latest trends and law changes is one of the organizations primary rolls.

Mark also remains actively involved in Long Island business community and periodically has been interviewed by News 12 on financial planning and related issues as well as was quoted in Advisor Today and Long Island Business News.
