Ms. Caputo joined Anthony E. Core, P.C. in 2003, where she developed and continues to grow the successful Divorce and Family Law practice group.  Her main goal is to bring about a resolution in the most efficient and effective way possible, while still providing personalized attention.  She supports her clients through their most difficult times, with compassion, patience and understanding of the law.     

She focuses her practice in collaborative law and mediation services in divorce, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements and independent review attorney to parties in mediation.  She encourages her clients to engage in common sense, problem-solving methods outside of the courtroom to preserve their assets and minimize legal fees, to create useful and detailed agreements, and to maintain a high level of civility and respect in what can be a very arduous process.      

Ms. Caputo earned her undergraduate degree in government at Cornell University, a Master’s degree in communication from Boston University, and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.  Beyond that, she has continued to build on her education with extensive training through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Center for Mediation and Training in New York City.  

She has been named to the Super Lawyers Metro New York Rising Stars list.  She is an active member of both the Nassau and Suffolk Bar Associations, the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, the Long Island Collaborative Divorce Professionals (“LICDP”), New York Association of Collaborative Professionals (“NYACP”), and International Association of Collaborative Professionals (“IACP”).  She is also a founding member of the Long Island Chapter of the National Association of Divorce Professionals (“NADP”).  

Ms. Caputo lives in Lake Grove, NY with her husband and two sons; ages 13 and 10.  She prides herself on being a grateful, happy and busy working mom.
