Alexander K. Buchholz, CPA, MBA, CGMA

AlexanderBuchholz.jpgAlexander Buchholz, CPA, MBA, CGMA, is Audit Partner in the Not-for-Profit and Health Care Practices of PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP. Alexander has fourteen years of experience in public accounting. Alex has twelve years of experience in public accounting, including “Big Four” experience. He is a specialist in Single Audits and internal control / compliance audits. His areas of expertise include audits of skilled nursing facilities, notfor-profit entities, social service agencies, charter schools, diagnostic and treatment centers, home care service entities, adult homes and other long-term care facilities, special needs clients, cemeteries, and specialized cost reports as applicable to health care and not-for-profit entities.

Alex is also an adjunct associate professor at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in the Department of Accounting where he teaches a variety of accounting and audit courses on both the graduate and undergraduate level. He also teaches at the School of Professional Studies of the City University of New York for the Online Business Management Department, Mercy College, as well as Lehman College. He frequently conducts various internal training seminars as well as participates in external speaking engagements. He is also a prior member of the Firm’s continuing professional education (CPE) committee, with special emphasis on Single Audit training. Alex also publishes various articles and papers on the subject matters of accounting, audit, and accounting education.
