New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Case Resolution

 November 20 & 21 | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Representatives from the Civil Enforcement Division (Collections) with specialized experience will be available to meet one-on-one with tax practitioners to discuss individual client tax cases and assist with resolution. You must have a Power Attorney filed with the Department authorizing disclosure of confidential client tax information. If the case cannot be resolved at the Symposium and requires further research, it will be assigned to an appropriate New York State Tax Department expert for follow-up.  

All appointments are to be scheduled during Accounting & Tax Symposium hours.

IRS Case Resolution

November 20 & 21 | 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Representatives from the Taxpayer Advocate will be available on Wednesday, 11/20 and Thursday, 11/21 in the IRS Practitioner Case Resolution Room to assist practitioners with their most difficult case. Registered Symposium attendees will be allowed one appointment only.  Appointments must be scheduled in advance; scheduling will begin on Wednesday at 9am. Each Practitioner will sit with their Interviewer for up to 30 minutes. There will be limited number of slots open so you must register early to ensure an appointment. Appointments will not be scheduled during designated lunch sessions.  Practitioners must have the intake form completed (click the link below and forms will also be available at the symposium) with a copy of the valid Form 2848, in order to schedule an appointment (No Exceptions).
