Ms. Watts has more than 25 years of experience in performing business valuations, primarily of closely-held businesses for purposes of divorce, estate and gift taxes, shareholder disputes, business dissolution and buy/sell agreements. Among the businesses she has valued are professional practices, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, real estate holding, and service-related companies. 

Ms. Watts has performed forensic accounting and valuation services relative to shareholder disputes, breaches of contract, fraud and misappropriations, professional malpractice, business interruption, and bankruptcy and reorganization. In addition to these consulting services, she has assisted counsel in developing case strategy and cross-examination of opposing financial experts. She has earned her Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The AICPA has established this accreditation for CPAs who specialize in business valuation. The ABV accreditation is granted exclusively to CPAs with considerable experience in business valuation who wish to demonstrate their knowledge, skill and experience by earning the credential. Additionally, she is certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA.

Ms. Watts has been qualified as an expert in the courts of Nassau, Suffolk, New York, Kings, Queens and Westchester Counties and has been appointed as the Court’s appraiser in many cases. She is trained in Interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce and mediation as a financial neutral. She is eligible for appointment under Part 36.
